That was what I’m thinking when the Indian guy told me “Kalas” it means finished in Arabic
Here’s the story, since my hair is getting longer, and my next home trip is postponed to August, so I decided to have my hair cut here. As far as I see, there are three kinds of salon here in Qatar, Indian, Arabic and Filipino these are arranged in priority of prices they’re charging from lowest to highest, and, the Indian’s is the cheapest. So, should we call them barber shop instead of salon? I think, we should =p
Back in Malaysia, about 15 years ago, that was the last time I had my haircut in Indian barber shop, when I was a kid. Now, after 15 years, this is the first time I go for a haircut at Indian barber shop. The smell is the same; typical Indian smell, and others, or actually, everything are just so familiar to me.
It’s been a long time since I seen someone holding a scissor, what I mean here is, the scissor he’s holding is no those thinning type! It’s a typical scissor! and cutting my hair that comes out from the comb he’s holding. This “process” was carried out throughout my hair.
When he says he’s finished, what I see from the mirror is a flat “thing” on my head, with no sense of layer. Well, that’s for the price, what do you expect? NO NEXT TIME!!! I told myself.
Wondering when can I have my haircut by a pro Chinese hairstylist now Note: not barber!
Hair, will you all please grow faster?
