I started to plug in my hard disk and start browsing for nothing. As I was clicking every file, something got into my eyes. The folder’s name is simple, it reads “UK”. Wow! Since I got nothing to do and will be free for the few hours before ending my day, why not open it and refresh my memories there? Great idea! =)
I viewed those pictures folder by folder, day by day who said saving the folders in Day 1, Day 2, Day 3… is not a good idea? =P I enjoyed viewing those pictures again and definitely enjoy the life there! Guess everyone of you who had been there thinks the same!
The moment of happiness starts here…
Day 1 was about flying and to UK. I was so happy because that’s the first time for my international flight. I took a 16 hours flight with few hours’ transit at Dubai International Airport. What we were doing in the airport was, exploring? We did explore for a while, then we decided to take a nap, well most of us did except for me and Wei, because I was so excited that I can’t fall asleep. Wei on the other hand, was busy chatting on MSN. I remember that because I recorded a video for that! =P
Then, I’ve reached UK! Landed on Manchester and bunch of seniors led us to Sheffield, which was the place we stayed for 3 months. That was few hours’ drive, didn’t fall asleep either, jet lag plus the excitement, by that time I still can’t believe that I’ve actually reached UK! What I did for the whole journey was enjoying the scenery along the way to Sheffield and snapping photos. That day, the sky was blue, the trees were green, and weather was a bit chilly. Most scenic view is still in Peak District! It’s really a nice place!
Then, the life there was just playing, resting, fooling around, visiting different places, staying late at night, shopping for jerseys, drinking yes! I drank quite a lot there!, planning for trips, playing and playing. That’s what we did there! Non-stop playing, that’s why I can’t think of anything to write except for playing! Hmm, perhaps cooking as well. I still enjoy watching the way Kiat and Beng cook. That’s the chance of a lifetime, most probably I can’t see them cook anymore, can I? =)
There are many more things I wish to write it here, but then it’ll be too long for you guys to read it all. So I’ll try to simplify them into one short sentence each.
I remember how we split the chicken meal 1 for few meals =)
I remember we were walking around Sheffield, looking for the home to the Owl's, Sheffield Wednesday Football Club's stadium. We got really thristy and we went into Netto to get some drinks, Beng and I chose orange juice and we drank it on the spot. The second after that, we were looking at each other and started asking "What orange juice is this?" Then the cashier came over and she told us "You know, this juice is actually concentrated. You know, you should add water to it, you know." Ya, probably if I knew I wouldn't have drank it, would I? Yup, we definately looked like an idiot! It was the funniest experience I ever had!
I remember how we spent our time at Hallam’s library, just to online!
I remember how we walked to those parks to play football, most of the time the kids play better football than us!
I remember how we decided on going for a football match!
I remember the God-Like download speed there.
I remember how we found out that there’s an assignment to submit tomorrow and the time left to complete from 0% to 100% is less than 16 hours with only 2 laptops.
I remember how we tried to choose the best drink at Sainsbury’s. There are like, over 100 different brands!
I remember how we stayed up late for games. Hmm, should say you guys, I was always the one watching or frying french fries? =P
I remember how we prepared our lunch for next day’s trip.
I remember how we shopped for our jerseys. After all, that’s why we went shopping right?
I remember the irresistible feeling of getting a jersey there when I visited Emirates Stadium, finally I got one there printed No. 18, Pharm.
I remember how we walked around London with a British teen we barely know. I think we were the first idiot to visit London Zoo than other landmarks. I remember how you guys left me and him chatting alone most of the time! *#^$!&%$!($#^&!#$^
The memories there were unforgettable. There are much more! Better stop thinking about it, or else I’ll start to think whether to continue my MSc there, again! =P Gosh! UK is such a nice place to stay! Really wish I could find a job there!
Went for Euro Trip after my study there, if I have the chance again, I'll bring my backpack to walk around Europe! One of the words I learnt at Europe, Ciao!
